This restaurant was recommended to me by a very close friend and I have seen posts on social media. Then my sister in law really wanted to eat here. So myself, my wife and her sister booked a table. We had to book for a mid week evening as they were fully booked on weekends for the next month. After an eventful one hour drive to this restaurant, we pull up into the car park and was eager to get in and sit down. Walking up the wooden ramp to the entrance we past a family leaving the restaurant, they all looked very satisfied, which just fuelled my excitement to eat here. We were greeted by a member of the waiting staff, a friendly young lady who showed us to our table and went through the menu with us. The atmosphere in the restaurant was lively but wasn't to loud. we ordered some drinks, two cokes and a strawberry milkshake. The milkshake was just lovely, though in my opinion a bit small.

Ordered three burgers, one Philly cheesesteak burger, one standard burger with mushrooms and cowboy pickles and I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with mushrooms and onions added to it. To accompany the burgers we had skin on fries, sweet potato fries and slaw. I was tempted to order the loaded fries but glad I didn't now, as i struggled to eat the the skin on fries.

The wait for our food wasn't long and you can see the chefs working away through the open grill, which I feel adds to the experience. Being able to see them building the burgers for the tables before you, just makes your mouth water that little bit more. As we sat chatting and enjoying the vibe, a waitress walks over with our food. All three of our eyes light up and double in size as we take in the visual feast and simply stunning aroma that sat in front of us. Not being able to resist any longer we tucked in. Every burger was cooked perfectly so were the extras within them. I wasn't all that impressed with the slaw, found it lacked a touch of flavour. Saying that this was the only negative I can say about the food. It was literally the best burger I have had. It was juicy and very flavourful.

I would highly recommend Hills in Brecon to any burger lovers. Even if you have to travel to come here, it would be worth it.
